This year we all decided to do Disney Characters. It took a little convincing but we finally found the perfect character for each family member. And so the hunt begins... I find the right patterns(or make it up if I can't find one), fabric and all the accessories needed to complete our costumes. Sometimes this can be quite the chore, looking through many craft stores and online for just the right look. We all start thinking of what we will be for the next Halloween on November 1st! Then I start gathering supplies in August. It takes at least a month or two of serious hours of sewing to make six complete costumes. I worked hard to make them look as close to the original disney characters as possible. It all paid off on Halloween when I saw people's faces light up with smiles as they passed. Hearing the little children exclaim "There's Pinocchio!!", "There's Captain Hook!!", "Look Tinkerbell!!", etc. with such excitment as if we were the real characters was so fun.
Well anyway, when we were out trick-or-treating last night we saw a lady that said I should have a blog- so here it is. Tada! So I plan on posting a walkthrough of each of the costumes I made this year, as well as the ones I've made in previous years. May take a while, but we'll get through it.
